Karibee Rice is a brand owned by Nand Persaud & Company Ltd. It is the largest producer and exporter of finish rice in Guyana with about 20000 metric ton per annum.
Nand Persaud & Company Ltd. was incorporated in 1992; it's a privately owned company which was founded by the late Nand Persaud.
In 1996 the rice milling operation had begin and its first milling company to export quality parboiled rice.
The brand Karibee was established in 1999. Today it is one of the major brands in Guyana and it control more than 60% of the parboiled market shares. In the export market, the Karibee brand is establish in more than 20 countries.
