Nand Persaud Rice Milling Complex was established in 1992 by the late Mr. Nand Persaud. It is a privately owned business, comprising of Mr. Nand Persaud and his two sons, Ragindra Persaud and Mohindra Persaud. It was the dream of Mr. Nand Persaud, whose vision is responsible for the current status of the complex. Prior to the establishment of the first mill, at first, the family was into rice cultivation and cattle rearing.

They have continued their hard work, which in 1995; allow them to install a 3 ton parboiled mill plant and in 1996. Due to the increase in demand, another 2 ton parboiled plant was installed in 1996, and a 24 ton dryer with 4 tank storage in. The Mill also incorporates its water polishing capabilities and the 1999 the brand Karibee was establish.

Over the years, Nand Persaud management team worked not only improving the production quality, but sought new markets outside Guyana.

They have markets around the Caribbean and in Europe . The company had in place a reliable transportation and delivery network with an efficient stocking and shipping system with a goal of quality product at competitive price.
